Association Ouvrière des Compagnons du Devoir du Tour de France
AOCDTF is a non-profit association offering numerous training programmes for young school leavers who want a professional qualification in 2 to 3 years. These programmes include practical work in a company (6 weeks) alternating with theory courses (2 weeks) and offer cross-border mobility. There are currently 6000 trainees placed in 54 centres working towards a qualification at Level 5. After initial training, young professionals can continue perfecting their skills during the “Tour de France”: a period of 4 to 6 years working for one year in a number of companies in France and abroad.
AOCDTF recognize that professionals must develop new techniques as trades evolve, have to meet new quality requirements and wish to develop their employ ability. Therefore, AOCDTF stress particularly informal and non-formal training as well as lifelong training, ensuring that professionals achieve fulfilment in their trade by the acquisition of new skills at home and abroad.
